Carlos Gonzalez! My favorite quote from “My Child Won’t Eat,” about trying to get a 9-month-old to eat an entire banana: “Where will the banana go?

    Katie Hinde!!

  10. Felisha 8 July 2016 at 16:53 #

I’m excited about listening to Laura Haiek and Katie Hinde. Being a hospital based LC going through baby friendly and expanding to a level 3 NICU is exciting and challenging. Many times I also find myself justifying our organization as a whole influence on breastfeeding outcomes.

  11. Kelsey Leonard 8 July 2016 at 16:56 #

I’d love to hear the Beyond BFHI talk.

  12. Lori Nester 8 July 2016 at 17:03 #

  13. Tova Ovits 8 July 2016 at 17:27 #

Hard to pick just one, but I’m looking forward to hearing Carlos Gonzalez talk about growth charts. BFHI in the NICU and how breastmilk organizes babies are also bound to be interesting.

  14. Virginia 8 July 2016 at 17:40 #

This is very hard, everyone is good. Love Dr Kathleen Marinelli soooo much! But if I really have to, I will have to pick “New Developments in Pharmacotherapy during Lactation – Thomas Hale, RPh, PhD.”

  15. Rachel 8 July 2016 at 18:28 #

Growth charts, use and misuse will be interesting especially relating to head circumference and Zika.

  17. Kaitlin 8 July 2016 at 18:50 #

How to pick just one?! I’d love to hear Dr. Hale’s talk.

  18. Jane Bradshaw 8 July 2016 at 19:08 #

I wish I could be there and I would love to hear The Global Baby-Friendly Impact: Making a World of Difference – Panel Discussion with Maureen Dann, PPCNP-BC, IBCLC; Laura Haiek, MD, MSc; Elise Chapin, MEd, IBCLC; Trish MacEnroe, BS, CDN, CLC; Kathleen Marinelli, MD, IBCLC, FABM. Now that more hospitals are Baby Friendly understanding the positive impact the 10 steps make is so important. I think the entire staff and some in administration at some hospitals that have received the BFHI are still not 100% on board. I see this in my area. Many things have improved because the local hospital has become Baby Friendly, but I see too many not getting the care they want, ask for and need. The more evidence we have, the more BFHI supporters can help work to continue education to support the climate and culture of the best breastfeeding practices.
    Jane Bradshaw RN, IBCLC, RLC

Hi Im Shacchee an IBCLC from india.
Tried my best for the scholarship coz wanted to hear everyone live but do not have financial means to travel n attend !Unfortunately didnt get one😞. AlthoughThe theme is very significant for my country as we have dismal breastfeeding rates and v less BFHI accredited hospitals and I was hoping to learn by interacting with LCs frm all over the world. The most I
Was looking forward to listening to ( and interacting with) is Dr Hale. There are soo many misconceptions about breastfeeding and medicines..Im trying my best to educate myself so dat i cn guide people better! 😊.

  134. Stephanie Snell 12 July 2016 at 11:00 #

I’m most excited about hearing Dr Haiek. As a postpartum RN/IBCLC in a Baby Friendly hospital I’m interested in how to support our Level III NICU.

  139. Arly Helm 12 July 2016 at 13:13 #

Since you ask us to pick just one presentation, I’ll say Dr Katie Hinde, as her topic is an area I would like to focus on at this time.

  140. Jacqueline Cropper 12 July 2016 at 13:19 #

I’m excited to hear the talk on growth chart use and misuse.

  141. Mary Gruszka 12 July 2016 at 13:23 #

What a line up! I would be most excited to hear Katie Hinde’s talk on the Organizational Effect of Mother’s Milk on Infant Outcomes. As a nurse and IBCLC whose first college training was in Anthropology, I marvel at the ways mother’s milk continues to strengthen and shape our species!

  142. Jennifer Gerena Clc 12 July 2016 at 14:20 #

I am very excited to listen to Carlos Gonzalez AND Thomas Hale. These men have been very instrumental in my own walk as a mother and as a advocate for other moms in my area. I would love to be chosen. Thanks for the opportunity.

  143. Holly mcclain 12 July 2016 at 20:18 #

    Dr Hale.

  144. Kesha Chiappinelli 12 July 2016 at 20:29 #

Dr. Padilla-Rodriguez is my choice because I live in Puerto Rico and the island needs all the support it can get to get breastfeeding now rates up. Dr. Padilla-Rodriguez is helping so many women in a place where the odds are stacked against them, especially with the Zika virus threatening the island. Baby Friendly Certification is so important because a birthing facility that is friendly and respectful of breastfeeding provides a great starting point for mothers!

  150. Sarah 13 July 2016 at 11:14 #

Looking forward to Thomas Hale and Carlos Gonzalez. As a nurse, sometimes I hear that breastfeeding patients are wrongfully advised not to bf based on the fact that they are on a certain medication. Any new research on this raises my interest. I’m also eager to hear about growth chart use and misuse 😊

  151. Nita Mihaela 13 July 2016 at 12:56 #

  152. Karen 13 July 2016 at 23:54 #

    Thomas Hale!

  153. Sarah 13 July 2016 at 23:59 #

Laura Haiek – I do a lot of work around BFHI.
